Review event themes and any special requirements for upcoming events
Set-up the speed dating area at a pre-determined venue
Check-in and welcome guests upon their arrival
Open and close the event with the Dashing Date speeches
Manage the timing and overall flow of the event
Liaise with venue staff
Provide regular, timely updates to Dashing Date management
Closes the event and completes basic post-event administrative tasks
An Event Host …
Is professional, reliable, and punctual
Comfortably manages, directs and engages medium-to-large sized groups
Confidently and clearly recites speeches and makes announcements
Meticulously implements all procedures and maintains brand consistency
Ensures that guests have a memorable, positive speed dating experience
Handles unexpected or challenging situations with ease, elegance and finesse
Captures the event with exceptional photos and short exciting videos
Has a smartphone (and keeps it updated), is easily reachable, and responsive
$100 flat-fee, per event
Our speed dating events generally take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays, or the occasional Saturday. Upcoming event dates are announced at least 30 days in advance and there are currently 2-4 events per month in each city.
Speed dating events take place from 7:30PM-10:00PM. Hosts are required to arrive one hour before the start of the event in order to have enough time to prepare and set-up. Approximately 45 minutes is required after an event to complete basic administrative tasks.
All events take place at a centrally located, pre-determined venue. Being able to commute to and from the venue with event materials is required and transportation costs and parking are not compensated.
